What to Expect

You will develop loyal, effective leaders faster and easier than you thought possible.

What can you expect when you work with Footprint? On this page I’ll tell you the kind of results senior managers (and their companies) experience. If you’re an HR professional, you may recognize challenges facing those you support.

I’ll also give you a sense of my guiding beliefs, my approach with clients and what makes me different than other professional development alternatives.

Expected Results

Tangible business outcomes. This is limited more by the imagination of the participant than anything else. The impact ranges from individual to individual but we’ve had people start new companies, earn the company millions of dollars per year with new product lines, and even generate sales increases of well over $250MM.

Increased capacity to seize more business opportunities. Gone are the days of waiting 20 years to develop an executive. You will chop years off the development cycle of your early-promise leaders and get them up-to-speed and productive faster than you thought possible. You’ll have a deeper bench of talent from which to draw, and more quickly.

Employees will stop struggling and start thriving almost immediately. I’ll get to the heart of the performance gap quickly and effectively. My Guiding Beliefs

Leaders are made, not necessarily born. We each have tremendous potential to impact and influence the world around us. If that potential goes undeveloped, it’s a huge disservice to everyone.

Passion is the foundation of outstanding results. It’s well documented that if people have the opportunity to do what they do best every day, the value they contribute increases exponentially. 

Engagement is the new workplace loyalty. The rules are changing. Retention today relies more and more on capturing the minds AND hearts of the people in it. Done properly you’ll capture discretionary effort, produce bigger results and frankly keep people longer.

My Approach

I don’t live in theoretical mumbo-jumbo land. My results are a product of an action-oriented relationship. Ultimately, leadership is learned by doing it, not talking about it. I have an overflowing toolbox of practical, time-tested approaches that can be learned and applied immediately so they stick and tangible results can be seen.

I’ll be unreasonable with the participant and perhaps with you. Its human nature to be limited by what we believe is possible. I will challenge the participant’s beliefs. It may be uncomfortable at times for them yet it’s incredibly rewarding. I promise you this, though: they will get what they came for.

Maintaining the trust of the participant is key to success. The details of the coaching conversations will remain private and confidential. Sharing them is at the discretion of the participant. We will design a transparent and appropriate way for you to stay in the loop.

Fun and hard work aren’t mutually exclusive. Participants and their bosses can sometimes get a little too wrapped up and serious about this “producing results” thing. Of course results are important, but if you’re too wound up to enjoy the journey, what’s the point? Expect to enjoy the engagement.

What Makes Footprint Different?

My laser-focus has allowed me to develop a deep expertise on this group and the challenges they face. I know what makes them tick and how to get the best out of them, period.
  3. A solid track record of experience and success. The methodology I use has been honed and proven with hundreds of new and emerging leaders since 2001 (see the case studies and testimonials section for specific results). I have trained with one of the globally recognized coach training companies, Coach U. I’m also one of a handful of coaches in Canada to earn the respected Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation.
  4. My unique approach creates sustainable results far more quickly and reliably than other alternatives. Most solutions have only a few pieces of the performance puzzle (coaching, training, etc). Each modality has its weakness. My program combines the strengths of several modalities and turbo-charges the development of the individual to get results faster.
