Structure of the Leadership Coaching Program

The Accelerated Leader Program™ is divided into three phases:

  1. Leadership Assessment and Performance Objectives Phase
  2. Springboard Phase – 1:1 one-day leadership training
  3. Implementation Phase – 1:1 Leadership Coaching 6-12+months

1. Leadership Assessment and Performance Objectives Phase

We will begin by uncovering the results you and your Emerging Leader want to produce out of the accelerated leadership coaching program. I will do this individually with each of you.

During this period, the employee will participate in my Leadership Profiling System™. The assessments I use here help me to quickly understand the Emerging Leader and allow us to hit the ground running in the leadership coaching and implementation phase that follows. If available, I will also review existing internal 360 degree feedback instruments and/or conduct my own Deep Insight 360 process.

I’ll also introduce you to my process that links the executive’s leadership development with tangible business outcomes. The three of us will then co-create a shared set of development and business objectives that is a win for all parties and generates the ROI you deserve (and is often ignored by most leadership development programs).

We will also design your role as sponsor in the engagement.

2. Springboard Phase - Leadership Training

This leadership training is a 1-day program specifically designed to transform the individual’s strategy to leading and producing results. It will be held with me personally in a 1:1 format.

This approach is dramatically faster and more effective than typical “coaching only” approaches dragged out over extended periods. It also fills the employee’s “toolbox” with practical tools that can be put to use immediately.

In this phase of the program, the participants:

  • Get to the real source of their effectiveness as a leader and move beyond the natural and inherent limitations it has.
  • Distinguish a new way of looking at the world which separates their view from the way it actually is, leaving them to deal powerfully with the reality of any situation.
  • Gain the awareness and capacity to cause results they previously believed outside their realm of influence.
  • Free themselves from circumstances that have tied them down from moving onto better solutions and bigger futures.

3. Implementation Phase - Leadership Coaching

This is where the rubber hits the road and business results are created. Here, I will work with the emerging executive leader to implement the plan to meet the objectives in a 1:1 leadership coaching format.

Typically, the 1:1 coaching sessions comprise three 45-minute phone tele-coaching calls per month. E-mail assistance and check-in coaching calls are also available as well as additional just-in-time learning as required. Simply put, the intention is to support the individual in fulfilling the leadership development goals and business objectives they’re committed to.

There will also be opportunities for the sponsor to “check-in” with the coaching process during this phase of the Accelerated Leader Program. This will help, in part, steer the direction and scope of the engagement to ensure the best results and ROI.
